Is BioGen available in my state? +
BioGen is expanding across multiple states. Availability varies by location. Fill out the intake form during your free consultation, and our Patient Care Team will confirm eligibility before any next steps — no commitment required.
Do I need to see a doctor in person? +
No. BioGen is 100% telemedicine. Your intake, protocol review, and ongoing care happen entirely online. The only in-person step is bloodwork at a local diagnostic center — a standard lab draw, no doctor's appointment needed.
Is bloodwork really required? +
For hormone programs — TRT and Women's Hormone Optimization — yes, and that's a good thing. Your protocol is built on data, not assumptions. Most telehealth programs skip this step. We don't. Peptide and weight-loss protocols typically do not require pre-treatment bloodwork.
How long before I see results? +
Results vary by individual and program. Many patients report meaningful changes within the first few weeks — better sleep, steadier mood, returning energy — with continued progress over the first few months. Your provider will set expectations specific to your protocol and goals.
Is this covered by insurance? +
BioGen Restoration does not bill insurance. We accept HSA, FSA, and cash payment. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds for eligible services — we recommend checking with your plan administrator. No insurance is required to get started, and we'll walk you through payment options during intake.
What makes BioGen different from other online programs? +
Many online programs rely on asynchronous, questionnaire-only care to prescribe medication. BioGen requires actual labs for hormone programs, every protocol is reviewed by our in-house hormone specialist before a licensed physician signs off, and our prescribers are licensed in the state where you live. The clinical depth is meaningfully different.
Is TRT the same as steroids? +
No. TRT uses bioidentical testosterone to restore your levels to a healthy physiological range — not artificially elevate them. It's a medically supervised treatment for a documented deficiency, prescribed by a licensed physician based on your labs.
What is a compounded medication? +
Compounded medications are prepared by a licensed 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy to match a specific prescription. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. Your provider will discuss the risks, benefits, and alternatives before you start any protocol.
How is medication shipped? +
Your prescription ships discreetly from our compounding pharmacy partner directly to your door, typically within 5–7 business days of being filled. Cold-chain medications ship with appropriate temperature control.
Can I combine therapies? +
Yes. Many patients run hormone therapy and peptide protocols together — they're designed to complement each other. Your provider will help design a combined protocol that's clinically appropriate for your goals.
What happens if I want to stop treatment? +
You can stop any protocol at any time. For hormone protocols, your provider may recommend a tapered discontinuation depending on what you're on and how long you've been on it. There's no contract or commitment.
How are you different from Hims, Hers, Ro, or Function Health? +
Those programs are mass-market, questionnaire-driven, and template-based. BioGen is a smaller, clinical-grade telemedicine practice that requires bloodwork for hormone programs, has an in-house specialist reviewing every protocol, and personalizes care for each patient. We don't compete on volume — we compete on clinical depth.
